The strategies include prudent, balanced growth, capital growth and adventurous options and are risk weighted. They will be available on the Standard Life Investment Hub platform at launch.
The portfolios will include direct UK equities, as well as funds and ETFs. The group emphasises the protection of wealth and assets in real terms over the long term and diversified global equities form the core of its portfolios.
The group plans to roll out the portfolios across other platforms over the next few months. Where platforms are unable to incorporate direct equities, the portfolios will be adapted using collective funds instead.
The firm launched a bespoke discretionary service for financial advisers earlier in the year and also offers unitised versions of the managed portfolios on a bespoke basis. In addition, it offers a portfolio population service, building portfolios to match the risk and asset allocation requirements of advisers who use third-party risk profiling and strategic asset allocation services. The group said that the managed portfolio service would allow it to offer a ‘complete solution.’
James Horniman, head of adviser solutions at the group, said: “These are multi-asset portfolios that build on our own particular strengths in direct UK equities but also take advantage of specialist knowledge in the collective arena across geographic areas and asset classes.”
