According to the firm, as head of wealth planning, Murdock who joined the firm on Wednesday, will be responsible for: “establishing and building a team to develop an internal wealth planning function with the primary aim of providing support for our existing clients.”
Sarah Soar, head of investment management at JM Finn & Co said the appointment was a significant development that will enhance the firm’s ability to provide high quality client service.”
While the exact nature of the offering is yet to be finalised, the focus will likely be tax and pension advisory functions, JM Finn said.
Asked why the firm had decided to create the function, a spokesperson said the decision was based on a survey of its clients who expressed a desire for such services.
