Jetstone Asset Management has hired Patrick Rudden to new CIO role.

Rudden, will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s multi-asset investment strategy. He joins Jetstone from Alliance Bernstein, where he was international head of multi-asset solutions and co-manager of the company’s diversified portfolio.

Founded at the end of last year and based in London, Jetstone has $1.8bn of committed assets. The institutional asset manager currently deploys a multi-asset, multi-manager, globally diversified strategy investing across equities and bonds. The portfolio’s asset allocation is dynamically managed.

“There is a well-defined need for a liquid, disciplined, and innovative multi-asset proposition that can actively exploit opportunities across global markets and offer stable risk adjusted returns,” said Ahmad Butt, CEO of Jetstone Investment Management.

He added: “Jetstone Asset Management will seek to fulfil this demand in the market by combining a top-down asset allocation based on practical and academic know-how with quantitative risk management based on better transparency.

Butt previously worked for Morgan Stanley Investment Management and is an angel investor. His investments include Citymapper, Dojo App and Gleepost Labs.
