Jelley left the firm in May 2011 after 17 years to join St James’s Place, where he was divisional director of private clients. However, it was announced that he was moving on from the tied advice provider in November last year.

In his new role Jelley will manage a team of 10, and will work alongside advisers to deliver a range of on and offshore financial planning solutions. He will report to Steve Powell, UK sales director for Skandia.

Before joining St James’s Place Jelley was head of tax and financial planning at Skandia. He is a member of the UK technical committee of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Speaking about his new role, Jelley said: “Working closely with advisers and leading a strong team of talented and dedicated experts, means we have a real opportunity to raise the bar on the wealth planning expertise we can share with advisers. Skandia is an ambitious company with a great culture and I’m excited about being part of its future as a wealth solutions business.”
