Janus Henderson has hired from Aegon Asset Management to boost its UK sales team.
Kyle Griffith Barwell (pictured) has joined the firm as an associate director of UK retail sales, based in London.
The role involves developing commercial relationships with the UK wholesale market and promoting and distributing Janus Henderson’s funds and services through face-to-face contact with clients.
Barwell will also develop a UK retail marketing plan to reflect the needs of clients.
Barwell joins from Aegon AM where he was a business development manager, a role he also occupied for six years previously while Aegon AM was under the Kames Capital moniker. Before that, he was an investment sales consultant at M&G Investments.
At Janus Henderson he will report to head of UK advisory sales Sam Mettrick, who said: “As our department continues to evolve and we develop new strategies and sales and marketing approaches, Kyle’s history of development roles will bring a wealth of knowledge and experiences which will make him a welcome addition to our team.”
