Janus Henderson has bolstered its London-based investment trust team with a pair of senior hires.
Dan Howe (pictured) has been appointed deputy head of investment trusts, while Oliver Packard has been hired as head of investment trust sales.
Howe joins from JP Morgan Asset Management where he was executive director of global strategic relationships.
At Janus Henderson he will focus on boosting the sales, marketing, and business development activities of the investment trust business. He will report to director and head of investment trusts James de Sausmarez.
Packard, meanwhile, will oversee the investment trust-dedicated sales team and boost its presence in the professional adviser space. Prior to Janus Henderson he was an executive director of investment fund sales at Panmure Gordon and before this, spent five years working as a sales director at Cenkos Securities.
Janus Henderson chief executive Dick Weil said: “The investment trust business is Janus Henderson’s oldest business and remains core to our strategy going forward. As one of the market leaders, we are keen to enhance and grow the business and these new appointments will help us achieve that goal.”
Janus Henderson has a dozen investment companies in its stable with £9.3bn in gross assets under management at the end of September, according to the Association of Investment Companies.
