O’Brien, who has 10 years experience managing private client and charity portfolios, previously worked at Maunby Investment Management and will be based at BMAM’s York office.
Joint managing director Nick Holmes said that the appointment brings the number of investment managers at the firm to 56 and it has a further 11 trainee investment managers currently working their way to that status.
“As business increases, our investment management team continues to grow with a focus on continually satisfying the needs of professional advisers and their clients,” he commented.
BMAM is a subsidiary of Brooks Macdonald and has offices in London, Manchester, Hampshire, Tunbridge Wells, Edinburgh, Taunton and York.
