Invesco has added a portfolio manager to its fixed income team to focus on insurance and pension clients.
Matthew Henly will work on the firm’s buy and maintain strategies across Europe and UK. He will also contribute to the wider fixed income team and process, including investment grade products and strategies.
He is based in London and reports to Invesco co-head of global investment grade Luke Greenwood.
Henly previously worked at Aberdeen Standard Investments, since 2014, as a lead portfolio manager on a range of strategies, including buy and maintain, sterling/euro aggregate and investment grade credit across both segregated and pooled vehicles.
Before ASI, he started his career at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership working on the firm’s credit strategies.
Greenwood said: “Matthew’s excellent track record and experience in this area compliments our teams’ expertise and growth ambitions to support the evolving needs of our clients, including supporting defined benefit pension schemes transition to a low carbon world through their investment choices.”
Invesco has been managing buy and maintain portfolios since 2004 with assets reaching £16.8bn at the end of March.
