Tarek Saber and Jasper van Ingen, who have been managers of the Avoca Convertible Select Global Fund since it went live in April 2012, joined ING IM at the end of November, based in London.
Saber joins as investment team Manager convertible bonds and Van Ingen as senior portfolio manager convertible bonds.
Saber has more than 27 years of experiences in convertible bond markets holding roles at ABP/APG, HSBC Investment Bank and Schroder Securities. Van Ingen has more than 10 years of industry experience, also holding roles at APG in Amsterdam and New York.
“In the current investment environment we expect investors to focus on yield, lower volatility and limited draw down risk,” said Hans Stoter, ING IM CIO.
