Previously a head of finance, Hotson will take up his new role on 13 August at Ignis’ Glasgow office. He will report directly to chief operating officer Tim Roberts.
Hotson has held senior finance roles in life insurance and investment management throughout his career, including roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Prudential and Lloyds Banking Group.
Ignis currently has some £81.5bn in assets under management, oversight and advice, and administration.
