Hastie will be responsible for business development in the F&C’s Edinburgh-headquartered private equity funds team.
His role will include investor relations, fund raising and new product development.
Hastie has 15-years experience in the investment and banking industries and recently spent four years with Lloyds Banking Group as a relationship manager, originating and monitoring private equity and loan funds.
Before Lloyds, Hastie worked in project finance roles in New York for both ING and HBOS after beginning his career with the Royal Bank of Scotland.
