Norman has joined from Rathbones where he held a similar position, and prior to that he was at JP Morgan Cazenove for 17 years where, among other positions, he was manager of settlement operations.
This follows Tuesday’s appointment of Steven Midgley for another newly-created role as financial planning business director for its financial planning business. This business was also bolstered with senior client partner Gaius Jones in March, while last month Brewin Dolphin’s Harry Burnham joined its asset management board.
Last week, Ashcourt Rowan also announced that it has outsourced its asset management administration and custody to TD Wealth Institutional, bringing the business on to a single operating platform.
Norman reports to chief operating officer Richard Sinclair, who said: “This is a very exciting time for the company as we put in place the building blocks that will help drive the company forward and ensure a continuing high standard of client service.”
It’s been a busy day for industry moves with Richard Pursglove also joining Artemis.
