Ian Kennedy will replace Stephen Allen on 2 March, with the latter having acted as interim COO since John Mould’s departure in July 2014.

Kennedy will be based in Hermes’ London office, reporting to chief executive Saker Nusseibeh, also becoming part of the firm’s executive committee and board.

Allen will retain his role as Hermes’ COO for investment, which he has held since 2009.

Currently CEO at InvestMe Financial Services, Kennedy will draw from 20 years in the wealth management industry, including COO and chief financial officer roles with BNP Paribas’ Wealth Management arm.

Nusseibeh said: “Ian will lead central services and ensure that, as with investment and business development, they continue to exhibit both excellence in their delivery and responsibility in their methodology.”
