The asset manager is making a bigger push into the private client market after expanding its investment products and capabilities.

Mekour, who began her role in March, joins as founding director from Maera Capital, a family office-focused advisory and co-investment boutique. Prior to this, she was working as a principal at Lazard European Private Equity Partners and Change Capital Partners. 
 
“Heptagon managed to significantly expand our investment products and capabilities during the last nine years, and are therefore able to cater to the needs of a wide range of institutional and private clients keen on tailor-made investment solutions. We feel the time is right to make a bigger push into the private client market, which requires such customisation,” managing partner Tarek Mooro said.
 
The $8.6bn asset manager was founded by three former Morgan Stanley directors in 2005, and caters to institutional and ultrahigh net worth investors.
