Rob Orman and Pieter Staelens have both been appointed as senior credit analysts.

Orman joins Henderson from Royal Bank of Scotland where he was head of investment grade strategy, while Staelens joins from James Caird Asset Management where he was a senior credit analyst.

According to the firm, both have respected long term track records in the global credit markets.

Orman has over 22 years’ experience in the field and has been at Royal Bank of Scotland since 1998.

Staelens started his analyst career at Bear Stearns in the leveraged finance and high yield team before moving to CQS (UK), the multi strategy hedge fund, as a senior credit analyst.

Stephen Thariyan, head of credit at Henderson, says, “The Henderson fixed income business has delivered excellent performance for clients and we have been looking at how best to resource the credit team for the future in order to try to sustain this performance and to meet increasing client demand.”

Earlier this week Jenna Barnard was promoted to deputy head of retail fixed income, while Nicolas Ware was named director of retail fixed income, moving across from his position as director of loans within the firm’s structured loans team.
