He will co-manage the HVTR, the listed specialist and alternative asset fund of funds vehicle, taking over from Paul Craig. De Bunsen will work with Ian Barrass, HVTR’s lead manager.

Meanwhile Paul Craig will join Old Mutual Global Investors, pending on FCA approval. The move comes on the back of Old Mutual Wealth’s purchase of Henderson’s interest in its Cirilium Multi-Manager joint venture with the IFA network, Intrinsic, announced today. Old Mutual Wealth announced the acquisition of Intrinsic in February this year. Craig is the sole manager of the Cirlium range of funds.

De Bunsen manages the Multi-Manager Absolute Return Fund, which is focused on hedge fund selection. He joined the firm in January from multi-asset boutique Armstrong Investment Managers. Prior to this, he spent five years at Insight Investment as part of a multi-asset team.

“Throughout my investment career I have always focused on alternative assets classes within a multi-asset context and I believe that HVTR is an extremely interesting investment proposition with enormous potential going forwards,” de Bunsen commented.
