The track record of both funds is relatively short, but in the past year each fund has beaten the IMA Global Income Index and outperformed the market.
The smaller of the two, the £952m Artemis Global Income Fund, consists of a blend of stocks with preference for large and mid-cap stocks. It was launched in July 2010 and is managed by portfolio manager Jacob de Tusch-Lec.
On the other hand, the £9bn M&G Global Dividend Fund has a natural bias towards defensive companies and a part of the portfolio is allocated to cyclical companies. Launched in July 2008, the fund is managed by Stuart Rhodes who is assisted by Simon Bailey.
The funds have been scrutinised by senior investment research analyst John Monaghan, from Square Mile Investment Consulting and Research, who provides his expert commentary along with knowledgeable insight provided by Amandine Thierree, fund analyst at FE Analytics.
