Mullan, whose wider role is head of Fidelity’s UK DC and retail business, will be supported by Paul Richards as deputy head of FundsNetwork, who will also retain his existing position as head of FundsNetwork sales.

This structure will be in place until a long-term replacement is found for White.

In addition, Ed Dymott will continue to support FundsNetwork’s future evolution and marketing positioning.

Mullan, said: “It is with regret is have accepted White’s decision to move on after 10 successful years with Fidelity. White has led FundsNetwork with skill during a key period leading up to the RDR.

“He leaves the business extremely well-positioned for the post-RDR environment and I am confident that FundsNetwork will continue to play a leading role in the UK’s fund platform industry.”

Since launch in 2000, FundsNetwork has grown to administer £36.7bn in assets, as at the end of June.
