Former Whitechurch Securities managing director Gavin Haynes and Shore Financial director Ben Yearsley have launched an investment consultancy service for IFAs, Portfolio Adviser can reveal.
The duo launched Bristol-based Fairview Investing on Monday, which they said will help IFAs provide value and risk mitigation for their end clients’ investment solutions.
Fairview Investing will offer advice on centralised investment propositions, fund selection, asset allocation and model portfolios. Other services include quarterly investment reviews, switch notes, investment commentary and sustainable investing solutions.
Advisers will be charged a flat recurring fee rather than an ad valorem charge.
The new project sees Haynes (pictured right) return to the industry after leaving Whitechurch earlier this year.
He said: “Through our fully bespoke and independent services we will provide advisers with all the key elements to help their clients receive high quality, good value investment solutions. While at the same time ensuring they have a robust and auditable process, which is essential in an increasingly stringent regulatory environment.”
Haynes has more than 25 years’ experience in the investment industry. He previously spent 22 years at Whitechurch, latterly as managing director, where he headed up the discretionary fund management service for more than 15 years, overseeing £400m of multi-asset portfolios.
Yearsley (pictured left) is a leading industry commentator on funds, markets and tax-efficient investments. He spent more than 15 years as part of the investment research team at Hargreaves Lansdown between 1997 and 2012 before helping to launch Charles Stanley Direct in 2012 and co-founding Wealth Club, a tax efficient investment company, in 2016.
He will continue in his role as a non-executive director at Shore Financial Planning and as investment consultant at Jones Cooper Wealth Management.
Yearsley said: “I’m delighted to be joining forces with Gavin, who I’ve known for many years, to launch this exciting and timely new venture. With increasing emphasis on risk and regulation, Fairview Investing will help simplify advisory businesses, but at the same time adding value by giving them control over a key part of their business.”
