Investment managers Andrew Foster, Chris Rew and Rebecca Fournier D’Albe are set to join Hawskmoor from Brewin Dolphin “as soon as contractual obligations permit”, and will make the transition to the Taunton office when it opens in the autumn.
John Crowley, Hawksmoor CEO, said that the launch of the firm’s fourth UK base, while a significant step, was just another chapter in its long-term expansion plans.
“We see the South West in particular as a place where opportunities to grow the business are being found,” he said.
“We want to become the biggest investment manager based in the region. Having announced the Dorchester and Taunton offices, while they will keep us occupied for the moment, if the right opportunity arises we will be looking to extend our reach in the South West.”
The announcement comes nine days after the firm revealed it is due to open a Dorchester branch in autumn, alongside the recruitment of Stephen Taylor and Chris McNulty to work alongside office head and former colleague David Evans.
Foster, Rew and Fournier D’Albe’s appointments mean that Hawksmoor has now captured the services of six Brewin Dolphin employees in the past month, while Bryn Wright left to join Rowan Dartington in November.
Tim Walker, head of Brewin Dolphin’s Exeter office, will take over the running of the firm’s Taunton base.
