Simon Atherton and David King will both join the Exeter-headquartered DFM in July, working under Max Weatherby.

Atherton has worked at Sanlam for almost 10 years, prior to which he held a similar role at RC Brown.

King has over 35 years of continuous service with the same organisation, which, via various mergers and acquisitions, including Neville Merriam and Principal, became Sanlam Private Wealth.

John Crowley (pictured), CEO of Hawksmoor, said: “Hawksmoor is growing rapidly and we are keen to build a good presence in London and the South East.

“They are both very experienced and proven private client managers and we are very pleased that they chose to join us.

“Our aspiration is to be the leading provider of wealth management for private clients, and outsourced investment solutions for IFA’s in the South West, but Hawksmoor is also very committed to growing a meaningful presence in London and the South East. So these hires contribute towards this objective.”
