Gravis Capital Management has appointed Columbia Threadneedle’s Jonathan Feely as sales director, with purview over the Midlands, North of England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

Feely has worked in the industry for over 25 years, with the last 15 at Columbia Threadneedle focusing on intermediary markets in the north of the UK. He also holds experience in markets in the Middle East. Before Columbia Threadneedle, Feely held roles at Friends Provident and Scottish Widows.

He will work under Cameron Gardner at Gravis, who joined in 2019 from Neptune Investment Management.

“I am looking forward to welcoming Jonathan to Gravis. He’s extremely experienced, with strong client relationships and communication skills, not to mention being highly qualified,” Gardner said.

“With his extensive knowledge and understanding of market trends, he is a valuable addition to the team.”

“I’m excited to be joining Gravis. As a boutique investment manager, it has a key focus on selected asset classes and real expertise that I’m looking forward to promoting to clients – especially at the current time when the Gravis products could really benefit investors’ portfolios,” Feely said.

Gravis, which was formed in 2008, manages £3bn in assets. On 15 January, the company also hired Albane Poulin to serve as head of private credit.
