Goodhart has appointed former Redwheel head of sales Gary Tuffield as a partner and member of the managing board.

Tuffield has worked in the financial industry since 2002, spending his first 13 years with BNY Mellon before joining Redwheel in 2016. He left Redwheel earlier this year after working his way from UK head of intermediary distribution to global co-head of sales.

“I am excited to be working with the team at Goodhart,” Tuffield said.

“The varied experience of the management team at Goodhart means it has a unique ability to empathise with the challenges facing boutique investment teams today. Our commitment is to be a real added-value partner for both clients and exceptional boutique investment teams.”

Goodhart, which has functioned as a multi-boutique asset firm since 2009, is currently led by Alan Bartlett, who has been with the company since its inception. After a short stint as CIO of Templeton Global Equity Group, during which he still served as chair for Goodhart, he returned fully in April 2023.

“I have known Gary for many years and have great respect for what he has achieved so far in his career. This is an exciting time for Goodhart as we look to expand significantly in the coming years.” said Bartlett.

“Gary has an exceptional grasp of the marketplace and the channels in which we operate. His deep understanding of distribution networks and experience in working with investment teams will help us to add significant value for our existing and future investment partners.”
