Salisbury will join Sixth Street in 2024 as a partner and co-chief investment officer, working with “longtime friends” CEO Alan Waxman and co-president Joshua Easterly.

“After 25 years at Goldman Sachs, it was announced today that I will be leaving the firm to embark on a new and exciting adventure,” Salisbury said. “It has been the privilege of a lifetime to work with so many extraordinary people, many of whom will be lifelong friends. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had, and for the journey itself.

“Having now consolidated the asset and wealth management businesses of the firm, a journey which began back in 2019, it is clear that our clients are seeing the benefits of the unified platform and the tireless work by the entire team.

“While the decision to leave Goldman Sachs was a difficult one, I couldn’t be more excited for what we’re going to accomplish at Sixth Street and I am looking forward to getting started in 2024,” he added.
