Gerardine Davies joins BNP Paribas

Gerardine Davies has joined BNP Paribas Real Estate as the firm targets UK business growth.

Her previous role, until 5 March, 2010, was as co-head of property at Aegon Asset Management alongside fellow directors Phil Clark and David Wise who are still with the firm.

Prior to Aegon AM, Davies was head of retail property funds at Morley Fund Management having worked at the business for six years to September 2007. For the previous five years she was with Hermes Pensions Management advising on real estate investment strategy for the BT and Post Office pension schemes.

BNP Paribas Real Estate has €12bn in assets under management and Davies’ appointment is part of a strategy to build its UK business.

Mark England, chief executive of BNP Paribas Real Estate, said: “Investment management is essential to our business and is a key part of our plan to boost our transactional business. Gerardine is our first senior recruit of 2012 and we are currently working on a number of others, in line with our strategy to grow profitable areas of the business.”
