Woolhouse has over 20 years’ experience in the asset management industry and takes over at Barings from George Harvey who is retiring from the industry at the end of April after 14 years at the firm.
His appointment is immediate and he will be based in the London office reporting to David Brennan, Barings’ chairman and chief executive.
Prior to running his own consulting business Woolhouse was CEO at Matrix Asset Management. He was global head of institutional at Gartmore for seven years from 2003 to 2010. Woolhouse has also held roles at Invesco and HSBC Asset Management.
At Barings he will be responsible for global sales, client relationships and business development across all channels.
