London-based Lamb will report to Craig Wallis, global head of institutional and fund distribution, and will combine this new role with his current responsibilities with the UK mutual funds team.
He follows in the footsteps of Nick Spencer who left the firm last month to become a director, consulting and advisory services at Russell Investments. At GAM his responsibilities covered UK, Ireland and the Netherlands.
Lamb joined GAM in early 2003 to work on the firm’s with managed futures strategies before moving into the fund distribution side of the business. In 2008, he took the additional responsibility of selling GAM funds to wholesale and institutional clients in the Middle East.
He took on responsibility for the UK intermediary distribution team in 2009.
