Europe
European funds took up four of the remaining slots, three of which were focused on the smaller end of the company spectrum.
In third place, following from the Man GLG fund was the JPM Europe Smaller Companies Fund, which returned a hair under 30% for the year. In fourth place was the Standard Life Investments European Smaller Companies Fund, with a return of 28%. Both funds produced a significantly better return than in 2014 where they produced returns of -4.3% and -3.3% respectively.
UK Small Caps
Two UK small cap funds round out the top 10 list of funds with more than £100m in AUM, the Standard Life Investments UK Smaller Companies and the Franklin UK Smaller Companies Fund. The fifth placed SLI fund produced a return of 28%, while the Franklin fund brings up the rear with a return of 25.6% good enough for only tenth place.
The SLI fund, run by Harry Nimmo is notable too however, because it is the only fund in the top 10 to have more than £1bn in assets under management.
