Ray Tuffield, managing partner of Kent-based Courtney Havers said Fundhouse’s independence played a key part in the decision. Fundhouse will also sit on the IFA’s investment committee.
“It is hard to find genuinely independent investment advisers in the market and finding Fundhouse – who don’t market themselves very well, I might add – has been great,” Tuffield said.
“Their service is also quite exclusive, without any conflicts of interest and that is a real edge for us in the market, we think. We also quite like that they are disruptive in a sector that probably needs a rethink.”
Fundhouse was founded in 2007 and is a fund ratings and research firm, receiving no fees from the managers it rates.
Rory Maguire, co-founder and MD of Fundhouse said: “We are thrilled to be able to offer our services to Ray and the team at Courtney Havers. Their focus on their clients is clear to see as is their principled approach to charging and dispensing financial advice.
“This all resonates well with us and our business model and it is a real privilege to be their investment partner.”
