Fund selector Peter Sleep set to exit 7IM after 17 years

Senior investment manager has managed 7IM’s AAP range since its inception in 2008

Seven Investment Management (7IM) senior investment manager Peter Sleep (pictured) is set to exit the firm in April after 17 years.

Sleep was a manager on 7IM’s asset allocated passive (AAP) range at its inception in 2008, while he is also lead manager on the wealth manager’s discretionary fund management (DFM) passive range.

A 7IM spokesperson said they are currently recruiting for a replacement.

Before joining the firm in 2007, Sleep spent two years in an analyst role at MF Global and had a 13 year spell at Citi Group, where he held analyst and portfolio management roles.

In January, the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board completed its purchase of a majority stake in 7IM from Caledonia Investments.
