Fuhr accepted a new job last week and subsequently resigned from her position as global head of ETF research and implementation strategy. BlackRock, however, was keen not to reveal this point and instead painted a picture of Fuhr being ousted following a restructure that sees its entire ETF research capability taken on by the BlackRock Investment Institute that was launched in April.
She is reported to be “on call” with BlackRock until 16 October as she and her team are still expected to produce the raft of regular reports until the new team is in place at the Institute, run by Lee Kempler.
While her new employer is still not known, she will be based in London with a global role, and will continue to produce the ETF reports that she does currently.
