Fidelity names Claire Dwyer head of investment companies

Claire Dwyer (pictured) has been promoted to head of investment companies at Fidelity International, replacing Alex Denny who will leave at the end of October after 18 years at the firm.

Having joined Fidelity in January 2011, Dwyer will step into the role after leading the firm’s regulatory solutions team for the last 15 months.

Denny is moving to private wealth platform Pantheon, where he will become managing director for European private wealth. He was previously director of investment trusts at Fidelity before assuming the head of investment companies role in 2017.

Dwyer said: “I am thrilled by the opportunity to lead a business with such a rich investment heritage and track record in delivering for shareholders.
