CCLA Investment Management has appointed Federated Hermes to manage two of its fixed income funds.

Federated Hermes will assume responsibility for the management of the COIF Charities Fixed Interest and CBF Church of England Fixed Interest Securities funds.

However, client relationship management, oversight and fund administration, and determining the funds’ investment exclusions policies remain under the purview of CCLA.

The company started life as the Church of England Investment Fund in 1958. It currently manages just over £13bn of assets and entered the retail market earlier this year with the launch of its Better World Global Equity Fund.

Fraser Lundie, head of fixed income (public markets) at Federated Hermes, will manage both strategies. He said: “CCLA sets the bar high when it comes to delivering sustainable and mission-led returns, something which we as investors also pride ourselves on. We are extremely pleased to be working with them and adding such complementary products to our existing suite.”
