Thomas and Yeoh will specialise in financial and healthcare stocks respectively and both have already started their roles.
The team manages a number of institutional mandates as well as the First State Global Opportunities Fund.
Thomas has joined from Oriel Securities where she focused on banks, insurers and general financial institutions. Before that she headed the banking sector team at Threadneedle Asset Management and had roles in Morley Asset Management and Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Yeoh previously worked at Atlantic Equities, where he was responsible for healthcare research with a focus on the US. Before this he worked at Dresdner Kleinwort and focused on large and mid-cap European healthcare companies.
Both Thomas and Yeoh will report to Habib Subjally, head of global equities at First State Investments.
