Evelyn Partners hires HSBC AM’s Morrissey as asset allocation head

Evelyn Partners has hired HSBC Asset Management’s Kate Morrissey as its head of asset allocation, a new position for the firm.

Morrissey (pictured), who will lead the group in managing £62.7bn of assets, previously spent 23 years at HSBC, having joined the firm on its graduate programme in 2000. Most recently, she worked within the company’s asset management division as its head of World Selection and Global Strategy fund ranges.

Morrissey will head up Evelyn Partners’ macroeconomic and quantitative strategy teams, leading them to recommend asset allocation choices to the firm’s tactical asset allocation group. She will report to chief investment officer Edward Park.

Commenting on her appointment, Morrissey said: “I am delighted to be joining Evelyn Partners at such an exciting time. I am looking forward to working alongside Edward Park and the broader team to strengthen our asset allocation process.
