Evelyn Partners has appointed David Rankin as managing partner for the firm’s Edinburgh and Aberdeen hubs.

He joins from Investec, where he worked for 14 years, most recently as a senior wealth planning director within its Edinburgh office.

The appointment is the latest in a wave of recent hires for Evelyn’s Scottish operation after the firm added Neil Grant, Leanne Cassidy and Lisa Mcleod as associate directors in both cities.

The firm has over 400 staff based in Scotland with offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

In September, Evelyn announced plans to merge its two Glasgow bases into one office to create its largest hub outside of London.

Paul Frame, Evelyn Partners regional managing partner for Scotland & Northern Ireland, said: “I am delighted to welcome our new colleagues to Evelyn Partners in Scotland. As managing partner, David will lead our teams in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, and I look forward to working closely with him as we continue to develop and grow our business in Scotland.

“David has extensive senior wealth management experience and knows the local market well which will be invaluable to the group.”
