The asset manager said a survey has also discovered that three in four expect to increase their clients' exposures to Asian equities.
The survey also uncovered a distinct split in sentiment on Europe with 53% of those questioned saying they are optimistic in their outlook for the continent. Six in ten said they expect to increase allocation to the asset class.
This was significantly better than sentiment on the global economy about which only 11% held optimism. It was marginally better than the 45% who said they had an optimistic economic outlook for the UK.
“Emerging markets are set to be a key investment theme in the second half of 2014 as advisers intend to increase their clients’ allocations significantly to this asset class,” said Jeremy Roberts, head of UK retail sales at BlackRock.
There were 63 financial advisers and wealth managers taking part in the survey, which was carried out at BlackRock’s London Investment Conference on 3rd June.
