Taupin will assume responsibility as head of Edmond De Rothschild Asset Management from 1 January 2017 in addition to his existing role as President du Directoire of the firm in France.
He previously held a role as head of the Alma Consulting Group as well as roles at Crédit du Nord and in different leading roles at Boursorama.
Munsters has decided to stand down from that role for personal reasons and returns home to the Netherlands just seven months after taking on the role, but will continue with the firm by joining the board of the asset management branch in France.
Ariane de Rothschild, chairwoman of the group executive committee, said she “fully understands” Munsters’ decision to step down and added the appointment of Taupin would help “accelerate the convergence of our expertise, businesses and geographies”.
Taupin said: “I am very much looking forward to taking on this additional responsibility, having worked closely with Roderick over the last six months.”
Two new appointments have also been made at the French private bank with Renzo Evangelista and Stephanie Pardini both taking on positions as deputy directors while Didier Deléage has been appointed CEO of the French asset management arm.
