The France-based firm initiated a push into the UK wholesale space in September 2015, hiring Daniel Lee from Allianz Global Investors as its head of UK wholesale. Lee is among those made being made redundant.

In February 2016 the firm rebadged and rolled out a range of funds offered in France and Switzerland for sale in in the UK market.

In addition to the redundancies EdR AM is relocating some London-based employees to its other offices, including Paris and Geneva.

The business will continue to have a London office however, albeit with a lower headcount.

The decisions on the UK business were taken in December, around the time Vincent Taupin replaced Roderick Munsters as global head of Edmond de Rothchild’s asset management arm after he resigned.
