David Katimbo-Mugwanya (pictured) has been promoted to the newly-created role of head of fixed income at Edentree having been a senior fund manager since November 2020.

Katimbo-Mugwanya joined the investment manager in 2015 as a fixed interest fund manager, following eight years at Epworth Investment Management, where he managed fixed income portfolios.

He is also a member of the London Stock Exchange’s Primary Markets Group, an advisory group to the LSE on issues affecting primary capital markets.

Charlie Thomas, Edentree CIO, said Katimbo-Mugwanya’s promotion “recognises the importance of our fixed interest strategy to the business and the success David has already delivered in his time at Edentree”.

“In addition to taking on the leadership of Edentree’s Sterling Bond Fund, David has launched the innovative Global Impact Bond Fund and the Short-Dated Bond Fund, with the performance and quality focus of the latter attracting solid inflows this year and pushing asset towards £500m.”
