Dominic Byrne moves to AXA IM after near 25 years at abrdn

AXA Investment Managers has hired Dominic Byrne as head of global equities for AXA IM Core, to lead the wider global equity team.

Before the appointment, Byrne spent nearly 25 years at abrdn, where he was most recently head of global equities. He began his career in 2001 at Standard Life, remaining with the company as it merged into abrdn in 2017.

In his new position, Byrne will manage various global equity portfolios for the firm as well as leading the team and report to global head of equities Jeroen Bos. His hire follows the appointment of Stephanie Li, specialising in Asia equities, and Koichiro Nanaumi, focusing on Japan equities.
