T Rowe Price has appointed Nick Trueman (pictured) to head up its Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) distribution business, a move designed to aid the build-out of its wider Americas, Asia Pacific and EMEA (AAE) distribution unit.
Trueman takes over from Scott Keller, who becomes head of AAE.
A spokesperson at T Rowe Price confirmed to Portfolio Adviser that Trueman’s patch includes the UK, adding that Nataline Terry, who heads up distribution UK and Ireland, will report to Trueman.
Before being transferred to cover EMEA, Trueman had been head of Asia Pacific (APAC) distribution, a role he took up in 2013. He joined the Baltimore-based asset manager in 2007, having been a portfolio manager at Axa Rosenberg Investment Management.
His successor covering the APAC region is Elsie Chan, who joined the organisation in 2015. Three years later she became head of the firm’s Asia ex-Japan distribution team, and has over 20 years of experience in the industry.
Regarding the appointments, Keller said: “Having worked with Nick and Elsie for a number of years in Asia Pacific, I am really pleased to be continuing that close collaboration. Nick’s extensive experience will stand him in good stead for his new remit in EMEA and Elsie has all the appropriate competencies and vision for her new responsibilities in APAC. I am delighted we have able to provide both Nick and Elsie the opportunity to develop their careers within the organisation.”
