Sahni has joined the global client group’s key client partners unit, where he will lead a global team dedicated to serving clients with a “sophisticated level of financial knowledge”.

He was most recently at Bank of America, where he was head of rates & foreign exchange sales for Europe & Asia and global head of hedge fund & central banks sales. Before that, he was the co-head of fixed income sales for Goldman Sachs in Asia ex-Japan, while earlier in his career he worked in Deutsche Bank’s global markets business.

He will report to Dario Schiraldi, head of the global client group, who said: “Many professional investors naturally want to use their financial markets expertise to manage part of their own wealth. Vinit and his team will help them do so. On clients’ behalf, they will be able to implement markets solutions.”

It’s been a busy week for hires in the sector with Ashcourt Rowan on a recruitment drive, while Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management has also appointed a head of portfolio management.
