Tacchi founded hedge fund manager TT International in 1988, making him one of the first hedge fund managers in Europe.

The fund employs a global macro strategy combining investments in a portfolio of equities with a global macro portfolio of fixed income securities and foreign exchange positions.

Tacchi uses fundamental research to generate investment ideas implemented using highly liquid instruments in equities currencies and interest rate portfolios.

Tarun Nagpal, Deutsche Bank’s European head of fund derivatives, said: “Tim Tacchi has over twenty years’ experience managing global macro strategies, which is an invaluable addition to our Ucits platform, which aims to provide Ucits strategies from the world’s leading hedge fund managers.

“The product delivers a much sought after investment strategy for clients looking for diversification and opportunities to benefit from the ever-changing geo-political environment.”

Deutsche Bank’s platform, dbalternatives, has $12bn in assets across managed accounts, Ucits and ETFs.

Meanwhile TT International launched its first hedge fund over 20 years ago and currently manages over $9bn across macro, high-conviction, long/short equity and long-only equity strategies.
