The new fund manager joins the UK-based active manager from Harding Loevner, where he also managed a global ex US small cap equities fund.

The new offering will take a bottom-up investment approach with the aim of building a portfolio of around 70 global ex US small cap stocks across both developed and emerging markets.

JOHCM operates as a stand-alone boutique in the BTIM group following the purchase of its core investment management business in 2011.

Gavin Rochussen, JOHCM CEO, commented: “Robert’s appointment builds upon the company’s success in the United States, where we have $2.5bn assets under management sourced from US domiciled clients across a range of strategies.”
