Ng has joined from Credit Suisse (UK) where she was a director for the Greater China and South East Asia team and was responsible for developing the firm’s private client business in the Chinese and Asian HNW and UHNW segments.
Prior to her time at Credit Suisse Ng worked at UBS for 18 years where she held a variety of roles in the wealth management and business banking space.
In her new role Ng will aim to foster links between Coutts’ Asian and UK operations and bolster the company’s international strategy in the UK.
She will report directly to Michael Mount, managing director and head of Coutts & Co’s International business, and will be based in London.
Mount said: “With an increasing amount of wealth in the UK continuing to derive from international locations, Coutts’ international desk is of significant importance. China is a key drive for this influx and a key market of growth for Coutts.”
