Coutts’ fund research head quits

Coutts’ director of fund research Minesh Gajjar has resigned after more than four years with the firm.

Gajjar joined the firm in 2013 as the director for fund research and investment strategy, responsible for guiding the investment philosophy for the allocation of some £13bn of private client assets.

He also managed the selection of fund managers used by the private bank.

Prior to Coutts, Gajjar was a senior investment analyst at Nedgroup Investments for seven years between 2005 and 2012.

It has not been confirmed which firm he is due to join.

Earlier this year, Coutts revealed an overhaul of its top executive team in a fresh push in its investment management arm.

The shake-up saw Mohammad Kamal Syed, formerly managing director at the private bank, step up to become head of global markets.

Camilla Stowell, head of Coutts’ private office, took on an expanded role as head of wealth and investment management.
