He joined the company’s London office yesterday (10 September) and reports to Mohammad Kamal Syed, managing director and head of strategic solutions.
Rees will work with an existing established network of external providers to develop real estate solutions for the sophisticated end of its client base. His remit covers UK, residential and commercial property, along with international real estate.
He joins Coutts from Mosaic, a European property investment and asset management platform, which he founded in 2005. Prior to this Rees was executive director of real estate advisory at UBS Private Banking.
He has also held senior positions at Jones Lang LaSalle both in London and in Bangkok.
