Copia Capital Management has created a sales manager role covering Wales and southwest England and appointed former Quilter wealth management consultant Matthew Jones.

Reporting to head of sales Tony Hicks, who covers the City of London and southeast; Jones joins a growing sales team which saw fellow Quilter alum Craig Berry appointed to the newly-created role of sales manager for the North in the summer. They work alongside Simon Eakin, whose patch is the home counties and West London, and Greg Mayho, who is responsible for the Midlands and East Anglia.

Copia is aiming to broaden interest in MPS Custom, which it says has already seen client numbers grow 64% since the start of 2022.

Part of Jones’s remit will be continuing this growth trajectory. During his 18 years at Quilter, he supported clients with asset and investment management strategies, as well as with pension and retirement planning. Jones also worked at Legal and General and Scottish Life.
