Comgest’s head of responsible investment Sébastien Thévoux-Chabuel has left the firm to join a boutique launched by former CEO Arnaud Cosserat late last year.
Cosserat resigned from Comgest alongside fellow portfolio manager Alistair Wittet to found Aecus Partners in December.
Thévoux-Chabuel will now be reunited with his former colleagues to manage the firm’s European equity funds.

“While it’s a new chapter for me, it’s on very familiar ground with colleagues I’ve known for over a decade,” he said. “I feel a great sense of alignment in our approach.
“Aecus’ overarching pursuit of equity, fairness and patience in the investment world are values that resonate with me both as an investor, and personally. I also admire the determination to maintain a boutique-sized operation, where team sizes are small and decision making is nimble.”
Thévoux-Chabuel spent 11 and a half years managing Comgest’s responsible investment strategy and will now lead Aecus Partners’ corporate culture research and shareholder engagement strategy.

Cosserat said: “We have long admired his ability to deep dive into company research and to identify what might make, or break, a long term growth story.
“Having already worked with Sébastien for over a decade, Alistair and I are looking forward to hitting the ground running on the European portfolios.”
